I've got a super strange issue with my PM 36: when it's not loaded with weight, it just goes down.
We've already tried a few things, like replacing a dripping oil pipe, swapping out the piston rod gasket, and even adjusting the valve.
What should we check next? Any advice or comments are welcome!

I'm thinking internal bypass somewhere in the hydraulic system so take a good look at the main cylinder seals or check valves nd also you mentioned replacing a dripping pipe, so you've probably already bled the system, but one thing is that if there's still air in the lines, it could exaggerate the issue too.

.

Absolutely! It's really important to keep an eye on internal bypass issues or any trapped air. They can definitely throw a wrench in things

Could the problem be caused by an internal leak in the control valve or cylinder that only shows when there's no load, and have you tested for that yet?

Hey, it sounds like you've got a leak or maybe an internal bypass happening in that cylinder. You might want to dive in and check out those piston seals and any of those internal check valves next.
