Dealing with crane tags in the field

Out on a site this week and ran into a crane with a tag that hadn't been updated since last year, funny enough everything looked good, but you know how it is, once the tag is out of date, the whole thing gets sidelined until someone signs off and crane tags might be one of the smallest pieces of the puzzle, but they carry some serious weight when it comes to keeping things moving or stopping them cold. I've seen perfectly good rigs parked just because someone forgot to log an inspection.

Ain't that the truth those little tags can bring a whole job to a screeching halt no matter how good the rig looks. I remember a big pour getting delayed half a day once just waiting on a new sticker for the crane, what a headache.

You're right, crane inspection tags may seem minor, but theyre crucial as hell. An expired tag, even on a perfectly working crane, can mess with operations instantly due to safety and compliance rules. It's a very common issue, and staying on top of inspection logs is key to keeping everything moving without unnecessary delays

Happens all the time, one little tag can shut down the whole job. It's a good reminder that paperwork is just as critical as the machine itself when it comes to keeping things moving
