Manitowoc 4100 water contamination issue

I've got a Manitowoc 4100 that sat thru some serious rain, and now I've noticed a cracked inspection cover. Unfortunately it's showing signs of water and oil mixing in the Cummins engine. I'm guessing water might have gotten in thru the breather system. Has anyone ever tried using heat lamps to evaporate the trapped water before doing a complete teardown?

You should check if the breather or any seals could be replaced first to stop more water from getting in before you try using heat lamps?
