Have you seen this Liebherr LR1300? saw it pass by while I was parked at a supermarket. Not sure where they're heading but I'm curious.. aside from tipping over, what else could make a crane like that completely inoperable? Interested to know what kind of major issues these big machines can run into.

yup yup Liebherr LR1300 is a beast for real, no jokes and beyond tipping, a hydraulic failure could take it out, or a busted winch motor could leave it stuck mid lift. Structural issues, like cracks in the boom from constant stress, could also be a deal breaker and big machines are a nightmare to repair when they go wrong

Most likely flood damage, hurricanes and sitting in low spots on bridge projects often lead to a lot of equipment getting flooded each year.

You've raised some fantastic points! The Liebherr LR1300 is truly a powerhouse, but issues like hydraulic failures or winch motor troubles can really bring it to a halt. Structural cracks are another big worry, fixing those enormous parts isn't exactly simple or speedy. The aspect of flood damage is particularly relevant, especially for bridge projects where equipment might be left sitting in low areas. Have you noticed any particular repairs or downtime resulting from these issues?
